Conditions of Booking and Travel

All seats are fully reserved and must be paid for in advance by Postal Order or Cheque to the address provided.

Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that the locomotive(s), coaching stock, route and timings will be as advertised, Spitfire Railtours Limited reserves the right to alter these at any time and shall as a result not incur any liability to any person who has bought, or contracted to buy a Boarding Pass(es), following any changes made to the tour by Spitfire Railtours Limited.

On the day of the tour, Spitfire Railtours Limited will make all reasonable efforts in conjunction with our operating Train Operating Company, in all areas within their control, to ensure that the tour runs as planned, but Spitfire Railtours Limited cannot accept any responsibility for delays, mishaps, alterations or curtailments of the tour from situations outside of Spitfire Railtours Limited control.

If you have a problem during the journey please bring it to the immediate attention of the on train stewards so that there is an opportunity to rectify the situation. It is unreasonable to take no action at the time and subsequently write a letter of complaint to the company.

Spitfire Railtours Limited cannot accept any responsibility for the actions under the control of third parties and are solely responsible to ensure passengers get to the boarding station quoted on their booking form.

Requests for refunds will be considered up to 28 days before the tour and will attract a 25% cancellation fee (minimum £15) but no refunds can be entertained less than 28 days before the tour. (You may wish to consider taking out private individual travel insurance.)

Spitfire Railtours Limited does not accept any liability for a major change which becomes necessary before or after the commencement of a journey.

Spitfire Railtours Limited reserves the right to cancel any tour where an insufficient number of bookings have been taken or where there are security risks.

If a tour is cancelled by Spitfire Railtours Limited, a full refund will be made.

Tickets are non transferable, tickets found to be transferred will be void and are treated as fare evasion, to both the original holder to which the ticket was issued and to the recipient.

Spitfire Railtours reserves the right to remove passengers who fail to comply with requests from the onboard stewarding team or are in contradiction of the Conditions of Booking and Travel, with a ban on future travel and the information shared with other charter promoters
